File Prep for Perfect Prints

CMYK Color Mode

All files must be in CMYK color mode for accurate color reproduction. RGB colors will appear different when printed. Convert your files to CMYK before submitting.

Why it matters: Printers use CMYK inks, not RGB light. Converting ensures your colors print as expected.

300 DPI Resolution

Images and artwork should be at least 300 DPI (dots per inch) at the final print size. Lower resolution files will appear pixelated or blurry when printed. For large-format items (banners, signs), 100–150 DPI at final size is acceptable.

Why it matters: High resolution ensures sharp, professional-looking prints.

Bleed & Safe Zones

Include a 0.125" (1/8 inch) bleed on all sides for standard print items. For banners and large-format items, use a 0.25" bleed. Keep important text and graphics at least 0.25" (1/4 inch) from the trim edge to avoid cutting off critical elements.

Why it matters: Bleed prevents white edges after trimming. Safe zones protect your content from being cut.

Accepted File Formats

We accept the following file formats:

• PDF – Preferred format (with fonts embedded or outlined)
• AI – Adobe Illustrator files (fonts outlined)
• EPS – Vector graphics
• SVG – Scalable vector graphics
• PNG – High-resolution images (300 DPI+)
• JPG/JPEG – High-resolution photos (300 DPI+)
• PSD – Adobe Photoshop files (flattened, 300 DPI)

Tip: Always embed or outline fonts in PDF and AI files. Vector formats (PDF, AI, EPS, SVG) are always preferred for logos and text.

Vector Logos Preferred

Logos and text should be vector-based whenever possible. Vector graphics scale to any size without losing quality, ensuring crisp, clean prints at any dimension — from a business card to a billboard.

Why it matters: Raster logos can appear pixelated when enlarged. Vector logos always look sharp.

Fonts & Text

Either embed all fonts in your PDF or convert text to outlines/paths in Illustrator or Photoshop. This prevents font substitution issues during printing.

Why it matters: Missing fonts can cause text to display incorrectly or not at all.
